Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering.
- 3+ years managing data engineering, machine learning, and data science teams.
- Hands-on experience managing GCP data infrastructure and enforcing data governance.
- Extensive proficiency in SQL warehouses (BigQuery preferred) and ELT tools like Dataform or dbt.
- Experience with orchestrators like Apache Airflow.
- Proven expertise designing complex SQL/Python pipelines using parallelized processing frameworks such as Spark or Dataflow.
- Deep familiarity with DevOps and SDLC practices, including Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and monitoring tools like Datadog.
- Track record guiding teams through the full machine learning lifecycle (MLOps).
- Strong background in core data modeling techniques (dimensional, star schema).
Responsibilities
- Manage, hire, and coach a team of data engineers and applied data scientists.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to translate business needs into technical requirements and prioritize initiatives.
- Serve as a thought partner on leveraging data, AI, and automation for internal productivity and member-facing experiences.
- Drive the architecture and delivery of scalable batch and streaming pipelines and productionized ML models.
- Oversee data system operations, reliability, and troubleshooting to ensure high uptime.
- Champion data governance, quality, privacy, and compliance through improved tools and documentation.
