Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- Active Texas Middle School Mathematics Teaching Certification.
- Ability to clear a background check.
- Ability to work independently in a professional home office environment.
- Experience working with middle school age group (desired).
- Experience supporting adults and children in technology use (desired).
- Experience teaching in an online or brick-and-mortar environment (desired).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint (desired).
- Ability to collaborate with teachers to interpret student data for instructional decisions (desired).
- Receptive to regular coaching from administrators.
Responsibilities
- Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students.
- Personalize learning for all students to ensure success.
- Differentiate instruction based on student level of mastery.
- Maintain grade book and make student placement and promotion decisions.
- Prepare students for high stakes standardized tests.
- Establish and maintain positive rapport with students and families.
- Travel occasionally (approximately 20% of the time) for face-to-face professional development and student testing.
