Requirements

  • 8 years of progressive experience in AWS cloud infrastructure/architecture roles.
  • Deep expertise in AWS services: VPC, IAM, EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, Transit Gateway, KMS, Organizations, Control Tower, PrivateLink, Direct Connect.
  • Demonstrated experience architecting within FedRAMP Moderate, High, or DoD compliance environments.
  • Proficiency with NIST 800-53 and NIST 800-171 control families.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with cloud-native/serverless architectures and containerization (EKS, ECS, Fargate).
  • Experience with hybrid/multi-cloud architecture involving Azure.
  • Experience implementing SRE practices and disaster recovery plans.
  • Experience supporting ATO and continuous monitoring processes with government customers.
  • Scripting experience in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • BS/BA in computer science or related field (12+ years total exp) or MS/MA (10+ years total exp).
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional.

Responsibilities

  • Design and document scalable, resilient, and secure cloud architectures including blueprints and diagrams.
  • Implement reference architectures aligned to FedRAMP Moderate control baselines.
  • Lead cloud migration and modernization strategy, including workload assessment and cost optimization.
  • Support ATO and System Security Plan development through technical gap analysis and automated control mapping.
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code templates using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Configure secure CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and containerization using DevSecOps practices.
  • Architect secure identity, network, and data protection boundaries.
  • Establish SRE practices and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cloud engineering teams.
