Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software or cloud application engineering, including recent hands-on AI/ML development.
- Hands-on experience with Azure AI portfolio (Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Search).
- Experience with retrieval-augmented generation, orchestration frameworks, prompt engineering, and model integration.
- Experience using agentic coding assistants like Claude Code or GitHub Copilot.
- Strong software development skills for cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure (App Service, Functions, AKS, API Management).
- Strong programming proficiency in Python or C#/.NET.
- Solid grounding in modern engineering practices: CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, automated testing, and observability.
- Knowledge of secure application design, identity management (Microsoft Entra ID), API security, and HIPAA-regulated data protection.
- Familiarity with MLOps/LLMOps and Agile methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop AI/LLM-powered capabilities including retrieval-augmented generation and orchestration using Azure AI services.
- Establish reusable frameworks, guardrails, and LLMOps/MLOps standards for safe AI application development.
- Write application and integration code while building and integrating AI services into production.
- Partner with Security and Compliance to ensure all AI and cloud work meets HIPAA and data-protection standards.
- Serve as the technical point of contact to accelerate AI solution delivery across the organization.
- Monitor and optimize the performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of AI and cloud services.
- Mentor other engineers on AI-assisted development practices and engineering patterns.
