Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience in public policy, technology policy, trade policy, energy policy, national security policy, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of geopolitical technology issues, AI infrastructure, export controls, or digital sovereignty.
  • Ability to assess emerging policy developments and identify strategic business implications.
  • Excellent analytical and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience working on semiconductors, cloud infrastructure, energy policy, telecommunications, or national competitiveness issues (preferred).
  • Familiarity with government AI investment programs and international technology policy (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze developments related to AI infrastructure, data centers, energy policy, semiconductor policy, export controls, and national AI strategies.
  • Develop policy positions on sovereign AI, compute access, digital sovereignty, and AI competitiveness.
  • Support engagement with governments developing AI infrastructure investment programs and national AI initiatives.
  • Collaborate with commercial, product, and corporate development teams on strategic opportunities involving public-private partnerships.
  • Represent Cohere in policy discussions related to AI infrastructure, energy requirements, and technology competitiveness.
  • Produce policy analysis and thought leadership on AI infrastructure and sovereign AI trends.
