Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressively responsible quality engineering, materials engineering, or inspection experience in nuclear energy or highly regulated environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in materials, metallurgical, mechanical, nuclear, chemical, or relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and ability to apply requirements to procurement/supplier activities.
  • Strong working knowledge of ASME NQA-1 and/or ANSI/ANS-15.8 quality assurance standards.
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing Certified Material Test Reports (CMTRs) and material certifications.
  • Experience with supplier quality oversight, material testing, inspection planning, and nonconformance control.
  • Ability to work remotely and travel to company headquarters and project locations as needed.
  • Strong professional judgment to lead technical discussions and make defensible quality decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on technical accuracy and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Support implementation and continuous improvement of quality controls per ASME NQA-1, ANSI/ANS-15.8, and ASME BPVC requirements.
  • Serve as a technical quality resource for code compliance and cross-functional quality discussions.
  • Review design and procurement documents to ensure quality requirements are effectively flowed down to suppliers.
  • Verify material specifications, certifications, and test reports to ensure traceability and compliance.
  • Administer the certified material test report program and evaluate objective evidence for material quality.
  • Provide oversight for special processes including welding, brazing, and heat treatment.
  • Participate in audits, surveillances, and supplier qualification efforts to ensure quality standards are met.
