Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 2 years focused on data-intensive applications, enterprise software, or database-related features.
- Proven experience owning and delivering production-level software features from initial specification through implementation and deployment.
- Strong proficiency in Python for AI application development and advanced experience with at least one backend language such as Go, Java, or C++.
- Hands-on experience deploying, debugging, and managing services across major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience building or integrating AI applications using LLM workflows, agent frameworks, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector databases, or embedding pipelines.
- Strong understanding of relational databases, including SQL optimization, indexing, transactions, schema design, and database performance.
- Experience with application security concepts including authentication, authorization, RBAC, and multi-tenant data isolation.
- Knowledge of observability practices, including structured logging, distributed tracing, monitoring, and alerting systems.
- Experience designing scalable APIs and service-oriented architectures.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ownership mindset, and ability to work independently in a remote-first environment.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead the full software development lifecycle, including architecture design, API development, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement of features.
- Build AI-powered application workflows by integrating agent frameworks, orchestration tools, and interoperability protocols to support scalable enterprise solutions.
- Develop secure and efficient data models, database-driven applications, and systems supporting multi-tenant environments, auditing, and governance requirements.
- Design and deploy applications across multiple cloud environments, ensuring reliability and consistency in both cloud and on-premises deployments.
- Optimize application performance through query optimization, profiling, caching strategies, security best practices, and proactive monitoring.
- Create and maintain REST and/or gRPC APIs used by internal and external consumers.
- Participate in technical design reviews, code reviews, and architectural discussions while mentoring other engineers.
- Contribute to an async-first engineering culture by documenting decisions, sharing knowledge, and driving solutions independently.
