Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required in Communications, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related discipline; advanced degree is a plus.
- 4–6+ years of experience in medical communications, medical education, pharmaceutical marketing, or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of life sciences, therapeutic areas, and the drug development landscape.
- Proven experience managing client relationships and delivering complex projects in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong financial skills, including budget management, forecasting, statement of work development, and profitability tracking.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy, quality, and compliance.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build trusted partnerships.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools.
- Familiarity with medical review and submission platforms such as Veeva PromoMats is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients, providing proactive communication, guidance, and high-quality service.
- Manage medical communications projects from initiation through completion, ensuring deliverables meet agreed scope, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Lead client meetings by preparing agendas, progress updates, action items, and follow-up communications.
- Collaborate with creative, editorial, digital, and project teams to coordinate execution and resolve challenges.
- Review project deliverables to ensure alignment with client objectives, feedback, regulatory standards, and quality expectations.
- Manage project financials, including budget tracking, invoicing, reconciliations, forecasting, and identification of scope changes.
- Support development of proposals, statements of work, and change orders when required.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, client procedures, and medical/legal/regulatory review processes.
- Support submission workflows through relevant review platforms and documentation systems.
- Coach and support junior team members through guidance, feedback, and workload coordination.
