Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data platform engineering, distributed systems, or infrastructure engineering.
- Deep expertise in building scalable data processing systems.
- 5+ years of people management experience, including managing senior engineers and technical leads.
- Proven track record of building data platforms and ML systems supporting internal and customer-facing products.
- Experience delivering customer-facing reporting, dashboards, and analytics features.
- Strong proficiency with modern data stack technologies (e.g., dbt, Airflow, Snowflake, Kafka).
- Deep understanding of data governance, quality frameworks, and security best practices (including HIPAA).
- Strategic mindset capable of translating business goals into technical roadmaps.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the long-term technical strategy for Boulevard's data platform to ensure scalability and reliability.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of data platform engineers while fostering a culture of excellence.
- Partner with Product Management, Product Engineering, and Data Insights teams to deliver platform capabilities for internal analytics and customer-facing data products.
- Drive architectural decisions for data systems, balancing current needs with future flexibility.
- Establish monitoring, alerting, and operational practices to ensure high availability and performance.
- Define and implement comprehensive data governance policies, security standards, and quality frameworks.
- Collaborate with leadership to align the data platform roadmap with business objectives.
