Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant experience in multi-state payroll processing managing over 250 employees.
- 3+ years of experience using NetSuite or a similar system.
- Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, including final pay, retirement contributions, and benefit deductions.
- Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now.
- Strong Excel and reporting skills.
- Experience managing federal, multi-state, and local payroll tax requirements.
- Ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Clear communication and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities
- Lead bi-weekly payroll processing in partnership with a third-party provider.
- Ensure timely timesheet collection, review, and approval.
- Manage payroll tax and year-end processing, including 941 reconciliations and W-2 coordination.
- Prepare payroll-related journal entries and ensure accurate recording of wages, taxes, and benefits.
- Review and improve payroll standard operating procedures and internal controls.
- Maintain employee data in ADP and NetSuite, including new hires, tax jurisdictions, and compensation.
- Lead annual 403(b) audit activities and coordinate Form 5500 filings.
- Support monthly and year-end accounting close activities and annual audit preparation.
- Manage state charity registrations.
