Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in content strategy, research, journalism, analyst work, or a related role
- Experience writing reports, white papers, or thought leadership based on original quantitative survey data
- Confidence reviewing crosstab data, identifying meaningful findings, and developing a compelling narrative
- Exceptional editorial judgment
- Strong narrative writing ability and a journalistic mindset
- Experience leading client calls and presenting strategic recommendations to senior marketing or business leaders
- B2B technology content experience and ability to translate technical concepts
- Strong independent and strategic thinking
- Comfort owning research projects end-to-end
- Confidence working with numbers, data tables, and statistical findings
- Willingness to work with, direct, and improve AI-assisted first drafts
- Proactive and self-managed approach with ability to handle feedback and changing timelines
Responsibilities
- Write narrative-driven research reports that transform complex survey data into compelling B2B thought leadership
- Identify the central story within the data, separating meaningful insight from background noise
- Interpret quantitative findings and crosstab data to uncover trends, implications, and strong report angles
- Own research projects from start to finish, including client kickoffs, research strategy, survey development, analysis, writing, and final delivery
- Lead client strategy sessions, present research findings, gather feedback, and confidently guide senior marketing and business leaders
- Challenge assumptions and recommend the strongest narrative, rather than simply summarising the available findings
- Develop clear report structures that change how readers think about a topic
- Work with AI-assisted first drafts to refine the narrative and ensure strategic thinking
- Review research reports and briefs for analytical rigour, narrative strength, clarity, and editorial quality
- Establish editorial standards and mentor additional research writers as the team grows
