Requirements
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience in nonprofit fundraising, especially in an agile and dynamic workplace culture.
- Demonstrated writing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships both internally and externally.
- Demonstrated understanding of Harlem Lacrosse’s collaborative national model.
- Basic knowledge of CiviCRM and other donor management systems.
- Basic knowledge of Trello and other project management systems.
- Strong communication, project management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Commitment to racial and gender equity.
- Passion for supporting systematically disenfranchised youth, preferably in mentoring, education, or sports-based youth development.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Ability to perform morning, evening, and weekend work as required.
- Ability to travel locally and regionally, including occasional overnight travel.
Responsibilities
- Analyze donor participation and drive engagement using tools like DonorSearch, LinkedIn, and CiviCRM.
- Manage donor portfolios by communicating with donors and conducting pipeline analysis.
- Perform prospect research and write donor profiles for portfolio owners.
- Deliver on a portfolio of donors including scholarship programs and small grants.
- Support Associate Boards across all five regions and nationally.
- Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure accurate donation tracking and donor data.
- Update prospect and campaign information in Trello and CiviCRM.
- Prepare donor correspondence including letters, reports, and invoices.
- Track and share portfolio analytics and performance metrics.
- Provide staffing support for national fundraising events.
