Requirements
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally with production cloud data systems.
- Proficiency with Python.
- Ability to write production-quality, scalable, and well-tested code.
- Strong skills in large-scale system design.
- Demonstrated track record of taking project ownership from definition to delivery with iterative impact.
- Ability to explain technical problems to and collaborate with domain experts who are not developers.
- Intellectual curiosity regarding the mineral exploration and geology domain.
- Ability to travel to project sites, with a minimum requirement of one week per year.
- Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Comfortable working in a fast-growing, early-stage, and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Engage with exploration geologists and data scientists to tailor technology development to their needs.
- Build data pipelines and tooling for deriving advanced human and machine insights from exploration data.
- Lead small groups of software engineers to deliver project solutions.
- Maintain end-to-end ownership of projects from design and implementation to testing and ongoing support.
- Provide and respond to design and code feedback.
- Operationally manage team services and assist scientific colleagues with technical tooling.
