Requirements
- 10+ years of firmware engineering experience in consumer hardware.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Deep fluency in C/C++ for embedded systems.
- Expertise in RTOS internals (Zephyr or FreeRTOS).
- Strong low-level hardware skills (SPI/I2C/UART, DMA, interrupts).
- Hands-on debugging skills with oscilloscope, logic analyzer, and JTAG.
- Experience deploying ML models on microcontrollers (TFLite Micro, CMSIS-NN, ExecuTorch).
- Knowledge of model optimization techniques like quantization and pruning.
- Experience in sensor data and signal-processing pipelines.
- Proficiency with AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor.
Responsibilities
- Design and build the reusable on-device inference framework for the device portfolio.
- Implement sampling, preprocessing, model integration, and runtime management.
- Integrate inference into RTOS firmware (Zephyr/FreeRTOS) while managing power and memory constraints.
- Debug low-level hardware issues using scopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG.
- Develop, quantize, and optimize ML models for edge execution.
- Collaborate across firmware, data science, and hardware teams to set technical direction.
- Use AI-native tools to accelerate development and design workflows.
