Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in operations or program leadership.
- Proven experience as a people manager developing senior or expert-level individual contributors.
- Direct experience working in or with city governments, interacting with officials and staff.
- Track record of building from scratch and scaling a program or process from an early stage.
- Experience running structured dialogue, community engagement programs, or deliberative processes.
- Demonstrated cross-partisan experience working with diverse political stakeholders.
- Strong systems thinking and AI fluency to turn manual work into repeatable, documented processes.
- Ability to work in ambiguous, early-stage conditions.
- Strategic mindset for program design and long-term scaling.
- Professional experience in a Chief of Staff or senior ops role in a government or civic organization is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of civic dialogues with a biweekly launch cadence across active cities, including recruitment, facilitation, and reporting.
- Lead and grow the program manager team by hiring, onboarding, and developing senior or expert-level individual contributors.
- Redesign and document the 12-week dialogue playbook into a repeatable system leveraging AI-powered workflows for participant matching, synthesis, and insight extraction.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with city offices and officials across the political spectrum to ensure non-partisan credibility.
- Partner strategically with the GM and policy directors to determine the growth and direction of the Deliberations program.
