Requirements

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on Android development.
  • Deep expertise in Android ecosystem and SDK development.
  • Proficiency in Java/Kotlin in addition to C++.
  • Experience with real-time communication technologies (WebRTC, SIP, RTP).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD systems such as CircleCI, Buildkite, or GitHub Actions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence without authority.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to a collaborative team culture.
  • Strong communication skills for articulating technical trade-offs.
  • Familiarity with AI coding tools like Claude and Github Copilot.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Android SDK architecture, implementation, and long-term technical direction.
  • Lead development and maintenance of the Android Voice and Video SDKs, including the WebRTC/ReSiprocate/C++ layer.
  • Drive build pipeline stability and participate in CI/CD migration efforts.
  • Collaborate with iOS, JavaScript, and React Native SDK teams to align on cross-platform convergence.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews and define Android best practices.
  • Partner with product and platform leads to estimate effort and deliver on roadmap commitments.
  • Monitor and triage customer issues while enhancing automated tests.
