Requirements

  • Significant experience in security engineering, infrastructure security, or cloud security.
  • Deep, hands-on experience securing AWS environments.
  • Knowledge of AWS identity and access management, network architecture, and governance.
  • Experience securing on-premises, data-centre, or colocation-hosted infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of enterprise networking, firewalls, secure remote access, and hybrid connectivity.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD security, and containerised environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement automated security controls.
  • Proficiency with scripting or software development in Python, Go, or a comparable language.
  • Practical experience using AI-assisted tooling for security engineering and operations.
  • Experience leading complex initiatives across multiple engineering or product teams.
  • Strong knowledge of threat modelling, vulnerability management, and incident response.

Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve security architecture across AWS and colocation infrastructure.
  • Establish secure reference architectures, engineering standards, and reusable control patterns.
  • Design and improve security controls for identity, network, encryption, and workload protection.
  • Develop preventative guardrails through infrastructure-as-code, policy-as-code, and automation.
  • Lead threat modelling, security architecture reviews, and risk assessments for new products.
  • Embed security capabilities into CI/CD pipelines and engineering workflows.
  • Act as a senior technical escalation point during security incidents.
  • Mentor security engineers and provide guidance to adjacent engineering teams.
