Requirements
- Significant experience in security engineering, infrastructure security, or cloud security.
- Deep, hands-on experience securing AWS environments.
- Knowledge of AWS identity and access management, network architecture, and governance.
- Experience securing on-premises, data-centre, or colocation-hosted infrastructure.
- Knowledge of enterprise networking, firewalls, secure remote access, and hybrid connectivity.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD security, and containerised environments.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement automated security controls.
- Proficiency with scripting or software development in Python, Go, or a comparable language.
- Practical experience using AI-assisted tooling for security engineering and operations.
- Experience leading complex initiatives across multiple engineering or product teams.
- Strong knowledge of threat modelling, vulnerability management, and incident response.
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve security architecture across AWS and colocation infrastructure.
- Establish secure reference architectures, engineering standards, and reusable control patterns.
- Design and improve security controls for identity, network, encryption, and workload protection.
- Develop preventative guardrails through infrastructure-as-code, policy-as-code, and automation.
- Lead threat modelling, security architecture reviews, and risk assessments for new products.
- Embed security capabilities into CI/CD pipelines and engineering workflows.
- Act as a senior technical escalation point during security incidents.
- Mentor security engineers and provide guidance to adjacent engineering teams.
