Requirements
- Bachelor or Master degree.
- 5+ years of professional Java development experience.
- Proficiency with Java, Vert.x, RxJava, Groovy, Couchbase, and Kafka.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience scaling systems.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work during United Kingdom office hours.
Responsibilities
- Implement end-to-end systems without assistance using Java and associated tool ecosystems.
- Translate business requirements into actionable technical tasks.
- Produce test-driven features following TDD cycles.
- Create well-structured, maintainable software using SOLID principles.
- Collaborate with product stakeholders to translate needs into product improvements.
- Lead system design discussions and work with Product Managers to drive value.
- Support production systems, resolve incidents, and perform root cause analysis.
- Mentor and develop team members while sharing knowledge with the engineering community.
- Produce proof of concepts to evaluate new tools.
