Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- 6+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
- Significant experience with distributed systems concepts such as consensus, replication, and CAP trade-offs.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Go, Scala, or similar languages.
- Hands-on experience with high-throughput message systems such as Kafka.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with both relational and NoSQL data stores.
- Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience leading complex technical initiatives (preferred).
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes-based platforms in production (preferred).
- Exposure to service-mesh technologies like Istio or Linkerd (preferred).
- Familiarity with chaos engineering practices (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate large-scale, high-throughput backend services.
- Architect core platforms that support mission-critical workloads.
- Focus on scalability, reliability, and performance of backend infrastructure.
- Implement and promote clean engineering practices across engineering teams.
