Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 9+ years of experience developing enterprise Java applications.
- Advanced proficiency with Java (version 21 or later).
- Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Data, and REST API development.
- Experience with JPA/Hibernate, relational databases, and Git/GitHub.
- Proficiency with testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
- Experience designing and implementing microservices and API-first architectures.
- Familiarity with tools such as Maven, Swagger/OpenAPI, and API testing platforms.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
- Experience working in Agile development environments and distributed remote teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and modernize enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture, replacing legacy components with scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Build secure, high-performance REST APIs and integrate them with existing systems, databases, and external services while ensuring data consistency and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, government stakeholders, developers, analysts, and data engineers to define technical solutions and support modernization initiatives.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability while implementing best practices for architecture, testing, deployment, and documentation.
- Develop comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, participate in code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, and mentor junior developers.
- Contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives while leveraging AI-powered development tools to enhance productivity and software quality.
