Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in a related field.
  • Commitment to CIWF’s mission and objectives.
  • Strong relationship management skills, including experience with 'cold' outreach or sales.
  • Experience in managing complex projects with external partners.
  • Excellent and persuasive verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed, up to approximately 20%.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal guidance.
  • Proficiency or ability to learn digital tools, specifically CRM software (Salesforce) and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to maintain detailed and accurate records.
  • Deep interest in farm animal welfare and sustainability, with subject matter expertise in food systems or ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Engage and establish senior relationships with leading US food companies to promote animal welfare and sustainability commitments.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records for company accounts, engagement, and progress using a CRM.
  • Develop and expand the corporate policy team's contact network.
  • Create and deliver compelling presentations to educate food business leaders on welfare topics and sourcing opportunities.
  • Conduct research on top food companies and the broader industry landscape.
  • Collaborate across teams on content creation, media interviews, and information requests.
  • Represent the organization at industry conferences and events.
  • Provide input for US Corporate Policy strategic planning and manage staff as assigned.
