Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field).
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in engineering roles.
- At least 3 years in a leadership position.
- Proven experience in land development and utility coordination for large-scale projects.
- Strong knowledge of renewable energy systems, particularly solar energy.
- Experience with data center infrastructure and utility requirements.
- Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all engineering activities related to land preparation for data center construction.
- Work with contracted companies to facilitate the installation and integration of essential utilities, including solar energy systems, water supply, and fiber optics.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, developing project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to address engineering challenges.
- Ensure all engineering work complies with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team and other departments.
- Negotiate and secure long-term water sourcing and supply agreements with municipalities, utilities, and private providers.
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence on prospective land acquisitions and development sites.
