Requirements
- 12-18 months of directly related experience.
- Demonstrated competency of legal liability, general insurance policy coverage, and State Tort Law.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Good interpersonal, analytical, investigative, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to obtain proper licensing as required.
- 1+ years Personal Lines Third Party Auto Casualty experience preferred.
- 1+ years Attorney Represented experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Commitment to attend and engage in mandatory training.
Responsibilities
- Manage, investigate, and resolve mild to moderate severity auto and homeowner's bodily injury claims.
- Evaluate coverage, liability, and damages, and settle claims within prescribed authority levels.
- Identify potential suspicious claims for SIU referral and opportunities for third-party subrogation.
- Prepare for and attend trials, hearings, and conferences, reporting status to management and Home Office.
- Confer with trial counsel and manage practices and billing activities of outside and in-house counsel.
- Communicate with policyholders, witnesses, and claimants to gather information and advise on the proper course of action.
- Ensure adequacy of reserves and maintain security of financial processing and claim files.
