Requirements
- 2+ years of experience developing and managing ontologies in business environments
- Strong understanding of ontology applications, design and management principles and best practices
- Experience leading full ontology development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, scoping, design, implementation, and governance
- Expertise in semantic standards such as RDF, OWL, SHACL, SPARQL
- Hands-on experience with ontology tooling and management systems such as Protégé
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and facilitative skills
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Science, Knowledge Management, Library Science, Management of Information Systems, Philosophy, Linguistics, or related field
Responsibilities
- Facilitate stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into ontology and semantic solutions
- Develop and maintain ontologies, utilizing semantic and data management best practices
- Assess and evaluate existing ontologies and make recommendations for improvement and alignment with industry standards
- Provide training and guidance to clients and prepare documentation on the value, use, and maintenance of ontologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficacy and longevity of ontology solutions
