Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in EL.
- Valid teaching license with Multilingual Learner (CLD/EL or equivalent) endorsement.
- Ability to obtain and maintain teaching certifications in Arizona, Colorado, Washington, and other assigned states.
- 2+ years experience teaching English Learners in a K-12 setting (online or in-person).
- 2+ years online teaching experience (preferred).
- Proficiency with Mac OS, Google Workspace, learning management systems, and task tools (e.g., Asana).
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work a fixed full-time schedule (8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Mountain Time).
- Ability to maintain a private, professional, distraction-free remote workspace with reliable high-speed internet.
- Ability to pass required background checks.
- Ability to travel for assigned testing proctoring.
Responsibilities
- Build unbreakable daily connections that keep students motivated, seen, and soaring, turning potential drop-offs into breakthroughs through caring, proactive outreach.
- Deliver daily, targeted English Language Development (ELD) instruction that is aligned to each student’s proficiency level.
- Analyze student data across reading, writing, listening, and speaking domains to identify gaps and adjust instruction in real time.
- Monitor engagement and progress; launch timely, personalized interventions for struggling or disengaged students.
- Deliver timely grading and meaningful feedback that reinforces learning, celebrates growth, and builds self-efficacy.
- Keep precise, actionable records of progress and interventions.
- Collaborate enthusiastically with peers and leaders to amplify student success.
- Lead live sessions and support proctoring during testing windows, including occasional travel.
