Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, finance, or a related area.
- 5 years or more of experience in public accounting or private industry.
- Demonstrated progression in engagement complexity, scope, and management.
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Sage Intacct.
- Experience with cloud-based applications such as Bill.com, Tallie, and Expensify.
- Ability to organize projects, set priorities, and delegate tasks.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Capacity to mentor and train staff.
- Experience with accrual basis accounting and general ledger management.
- CPA license is desirable but not required.
- Prior CPA firm experience is preferred.
- Nonprofit organization concentration is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Handle monthly close aspects including reconciliations, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Supervise staff, provide on-the-job training, and assist with performance evaluations.
- Coordinate engagement phases with partners and managers to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Communicate progress, financial information, and business concerns to clients and internal leadership.
- Implement and train users on cloud-based accounting tools like Bill.com and Sage Intacct.
- Analyze problem areas, recommend solutions, and ensure deliverables meet professional standards.
