Requirements
- University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4+ years of experience in translation, localization, reviewing, or creative writing.
- Native level fluency in Japanese and fluent in English.
- Thorough understanding of the localization process.
- Proficiency with standard software like Windows and Office applications.
- Ability to work with tight deadlines in a virtual team environment.
- Strong skills in providing clear, constructive feedback.
- Ability to effectively present information to managers, clients, and linguists.
- Experience and willingness to teach, coach, and mentor others.
- Passionate about music, film, tech, and familiarity with iOS and Mac OS devices.
Responsibilities
- Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
- Perform creative writing for marketing content and storefront descriptions.
- Monitor linguistic quality and execute quality management planning in collaboration with the Quality Department.
- Lead client communication regarding quality, strategy, and linguistic requirements.
- Maintain and update linguistic assets and client-facing documentation.
- Coordinate the linguistic team by providing feedback, assigning work, and conducting training.
- Mentor and coach linguists, addressing underperformance and identifying training needs.
