Requirements
- 4-8 years of experience in QA, SDET, or Quality Engineering
- Minimum of 2 years in roles such as QA Lead, QA Manager, SDET Lead, or Senior Quality Engineer
- Experience in designing and building test frameworks from the ground up
- Skilled in Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium (2+ years with production-level E2E test suites)
- Proficient in automated REST API testing (REST Assured, Postman automation, or custom solutions)
- Ability to write, debug, and review test automation code competently in JavaScript or TypeScript
- Experienced in CI/CD integration using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar tools
- Background in shift-left testing
- Familiarity with Git (branching, pull requests, code reviews)
- Capable of developing test plans based on product requirements and prioritizing by business risk
- Ability to set up and maintain Docker/containerized test environments
- Strong proficiency in English communication for asynchronous work, bug reports, and test documentation
- Experience in managing or mentoring QA teams (Strongly Preferred)
- Familiarity with healthcare SaaS or compliance testing under HIPAA (Strongly Preferred)
- Expertise in performance testing using K6, JMeter, or Artillery (Strongly Preferred)
- SQL and database-level data integrity testing experience (Strongly Preferred)
- AI-assisted testing using LLMs for test generation, test data, and exploratory automation (Strongly Preferred)
- Familiarity with React or Next.js (Strongly Preferred)
- Experience with BDD/TDD methodologies (Strongly Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Architect test automation from zero (Playwright-based E2E, API, integration test suites)
- Build AI-augmented QA using Claude, Copilot, and AI tools for test generation, edge case identification, and self-healing test suites
- Integrate QA into AI-assisted development workflows (shift-left testing)
- Own the quality gate and release authority
- Design regression automation that maintains coverage across evolving products
- Establish quality engineering culture including documentation, runbooks, and test plans
- Audit all products, map coverage gaps, and identify regression risks
- Build Playwright automation scaffold (CI-integrated, parallel execution)
- Establish the QA runbook (how, when, and what blocks a release)
- Attach AI-driven test generation to the framework and build autonomous QA loops
- Own quality across all products, context-switching between them weekly
- Pair with engineering on testability and with founder/clinical team on healthcare-specific edge cases
- Ensure HIPAA compliance testing, clinical workflow validation, medical billing edge cases, patient data privacy verification, and audit trail testing
