Requirements
- 2–4 years in SEO content strategy, on-page SEO, or editorial SEO
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Organized and methodical with managing calendars, workflows, and deadlines
- Expertise in on-page SEO (SERP analysis, keyword placement, metadata, content structure)
- Analytical and curious, comfortable interpreting SEO data
- Clear communicator, confident working with writers and cross-functional stakeholders
- Self-starter, thrives in remote work and can operate independently
- Owned SEO recommendations end-to-end
- Experience with SEO tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, SurferSEO, Clearscope, or Frase (bonus)
- Background in editorial workflows or managing writers (bonus)
- Understanding of E-E-A-T and helpful content principles (bonus)
Responsibilities
- Create content strategies rooted in search intent, keyword opportunities, and competitive insights
- Produce detailed, SEO-optimized content briefs for writers
- Plan, schedule, and manage content production timelines
- Ensure blogs and landing pages meet SEO standards before publishing
- Execute updates to metadata, headers, content flow, linking, and page structure
- Continuously identify high-value topics that support organic growth
- Track rankings, measure content performance, and optimize underperforming assets
- Work with writers, designers, and developers to ensure content aligns with brand and UX
- Maintain guidelines, templates, and SEO content SOPs
