Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate's degree in a related field is a plus
- 1-3 years of experience in a safety-related role within the construction or power delivery industry
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and general construction safety practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to identify hazards and provide practical solutions
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred; must obtain within 60 days of hire if not already certified
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel to different job sites
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance
- Assist in developing and delivering safety training programs
- Promote a culture of safety by engaging with employees
- Document and report safety observations, incidents, and near misses
- Work closely with the safety management team to update safety protocols
- Participate in safety meetings
- Support the implementation of job safety analyses (JSAs)
