Requirements:
  • 3+ years of professional video editing experience, ideally for YouTube or digital media
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, with specific experience designing and using MOGRTs (Motion Graphics Templates)
  • Strong knowledge of video formats, compression, and resolution for optimal YouTube playback
  • Graphic design ability to make compelling video thumbnails
  • Ability to coach and mentor others
  • Attention to detail with the ability to take feedback and adapt editing style accordingly
  • Creative with a strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, and how to keep a digital audience engaged
  • Experience with audio editing, sound design, and music integration is a plus
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote work environment
  • Excellent time-management skills, able to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement MOGRTs (Motion Graphics Templates) and basic graphic design templates (for channel thumbnails) to elevate visual branding and streamline post-production
  • Edit and assemble raw footage into polished, high-quality YouTube videos that align with the channel’s style and audience
  • Collaborate closely with the YouTube team to understand the vision and goals for each video
  • Trim, cut, and enhance videos by adding music, motion graphics, transitions, sound effects, and text overlays
  • Ensure videos are optimized for YouTube’s best practices (e.g., format, length, resolution, aspect ratio).
  • Implement feedback from stakeholders to improve final video products while maintaining a quick turnaround.
  • Manage and organize video assets (footage, music, and sound) to streamline editing processes.
  • Keep up with the latest trends in video editing, YouTube best practices, and digital video content
  • Provide open, constructive feedback to on-camera talent to ensure high-quality video footage
  • Review video performance metrics (views, engagement) and collaborate with the YouTube Strategist to improve future content
  • Assist in creating content for YouTube Shorts and other video formats as needed
