J.D. degree or LL.M. degree from an accredited law school, admission to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction, and eight (8) years of litigation experience
Ten (10) or more years of experience with litigation, arbitration, and investigation matters for large companies
Experience at a large multinational law firm
Government experience desirable
Trial experience
Experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry
Responsibilities:
Managing and developing case strategy
Supervising and managing outside counsel
Regularly reporting on litigation developments
Hands-on involvement in all aspects of case preparation, including witness interviews, discovery (extensive document productions, depositions, and drafting of discovery responses), motion practice, trial preparation, trials and appeals
Counseling other law groups and Amgen employees on business disputes and other pre-litigation matters to minimize risk and ideally avoid litigation
