Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, preferably in eCommerce, CPG, or retail.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial regulations.
- Proven experience with inventory and cost accounting in a physical goods business.
- Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero) and eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Amazon Seller Central).
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial modeling and reporting tools is a plus.
- Detail-oriented, analytical mindset with excellent organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
- Manage the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, inventory accounting, and tax compliance.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and cost control initiatives.
- Ensure proper financial reporting for all sales channels, including DTC (Shopify, Amazon, etc.) and retail POS systems.
- Implement and maintain internal controls and financial policies to safeguard company assets.
- Support audits, including preparing schedules and working with external auditors.
- Analyze financial performance, profitability by SKU/channel, and operational KPIs to provide insights to leadership.
- Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to track inventory and COGS accurately.
- Supervise and mentor the accounting team and support cross-functional financial projects.
