Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from an accredited University or College
Able and willing to travel 80% including international and comply with GE travel guidelines.
Experience with Power electronics system (HVDC, SVC, Statcom)
Experience with large electric machines (Synchronous condenser, generators…)
Experience with HV measurement devices (CTs, PTs…)
Experience with relay protection tests
Experience with HMI commissioning
Experience with commissioning/troubleshooting of PLCs or control units
Experience with communication protocol and communication troubleshooting
Experience with HV Breakers/Disconnector Switches/Transformers
Responsibilities:
Responsible for performing on site commissioning, maintenance, repairs, refurbishment and troubleshooting on existing GE installed base (HVDC and FACTS ).
Write quality and comprehensive reports
Prepare your site activities, including HSE procedures, tool lists, maintenance planning, test procedures and prepare your reports to be issued to customers at your return.
Support of long-term service project with a major Utilities
Ability to support closeout of project deficiencies and Punchlist items
Continuous development and specialized knowledge in HVDC and FACTS.
Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering.
Takes new perspective on existing solutions.
Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations.
Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
