Quality Assurance Manager - Gummy Products

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in food science or science equivalent required. Master's degree is a plus.
• Has 5+ years of quality assurance experience in the supplement industry.
• Possesses a strong understanding of FDA regulations for Dietary Supplements (21 CFR part 111).
• Has extensive knowledge of GMPs, NSF and FDA guidelines for manufacturing supplement products.
• Experience working with third party testing laboratories
• Is a strategic thinker who balances quality control processes with business priorities.
• Is results-driven and detail-oriented, with a focus on delivering exceptional products and mitigating risks.
• Demonstrates collaborative and communicative skills, fostering alignment across teams and suppliers.
• Ability to deliver in a fast paced, scrappy company environment and adjust workload based on shifting priorities and needs
• Flexibility to travel frequently to co-manufacturers (at least 25% of the time)

Responsibilities:

• Implement, manage, improve our Quality Management System (QMS) at our co-manufacturers to ensure highest product quality, safety, and consistency.
• Lead efforts to meet external quality audit requirements, including NSF Certification and Certified for Sport on our products and stability testing.
• Partner with co-manufacturers to improve quality standards for our gummy products to meet and exceed industry expectations.
• Collaborate with internal product development team to set quality processes on new product innovations
• Lead expertise on regulations and ensure ongoing compliance with FDA regulations for Dietary Supplements (21 CFR part 111), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Analyze and summarize technical data to identify trends and corrective actions
• Create and present timely and concise communication on quality performance to senior leadership
