Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in strategic roles in strategy consulting, high-growth startups, sports, media, or technology sectors.
  • Advanced analytical skills with a track record in conducting market research and leveraging data to drive strategy.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence across functions, driving complex initiatives with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • An understanding and enthusiasm for youth sports and the potential of technology to enrich the sports experience for athletes, coaches, and families.
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with execution; able to define and translate high-level strategies into impactful action plans.
  • Exceptional communication skills, can present strategic insights to executive leadership and shows project management skills with an emphasis on stakeholder alignment.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop an understanding of the youth sports ecosystem, including important partners, user needs, trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Define clear strategic goals and growth priorities in partnership with the VP of Strategic Initiatives and Impact, President, and the leadership team.
  • Act as a strategic advisor across product, marketing, and operations teams to ensure cohesive and applicable market insights.
  • Lead consultants and cross-functional project teams to deliver high-impact projects on time, ensuring alignment with our goals and maximizing outcomes.
  • Lead the strategy for data gathering, ensuring user research, competitive analysis, and internal data are used effectively.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess initiative impact and inform continuous improvement.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and the latest technologies in youth sports.
  • Identify and advocate for ideas and projects that differentiate GameChanger in a competitive landscape.
  • Identify potential risks, challenges, and external factors that may affect growth.
  • Develop risk mitigation plans and advise the leadership team on strategies to navigate market uncertainties.
