Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 1 year in a leadership role, ideally working closely with a mobile application team.
  • Extensive experience with test automation, CI/CD, and quality practices in agile development environments.
  • Strong proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools (e.g. Maestro, Playwright, Espresso, XCUITest, Jest, etc.).
  • In-depth knowledge of test strategies, including unit testing, integration testing, API testing, load and performance testing, and end-to-end system testing.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions or CircleCI).
  • Understanding of security, compliance, and regulatory requirements within GDPR and privacy space.
Responsibilities:
  • Work with the engineering leaders to implement the overall quality assurance strategy for the organization, ensuring that all software products meet high-quality standards.
  • Drive the development, maintenance, and scaling of test automation frameworks and practices across multiple teams.
  • Work closely with engineering, product management, and other stakeholders to ensure that quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirement gathering to software reaching maturity in production.
  • Work with teams to ensure comprehensive testing coverage, from unit tests and integration tests to end-to-end system tests, across all software projects.
  • Manage and mentor engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement but also other discipline when need be, for example, supporting initiatives to improve collaboration on design and requirement quality.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of the software process and its quality checks.
  • Identify and mitigate quality risks early in the development cycle.
  • Advocate for the continuous improvement of quality practices, methodologies, and tools, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Ensure that software quality practices are aligned with industry regulations and compliance standards relevant to fintech, such as PCI-DSS, GDPR, and others.
