Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
  • Experience working with Avalara (e.g., Sales & Use Tax).
  • Experience working with a SaaS (Software as a Service) company.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including sales tax, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements.
  • Develop and monitor the annual corporate budget and financial re-forecasts.

  • 5+ years of accounting and finance experience, with 2+ years in a senior accounting role (Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, Controller, or equivalent) and have the CPA certification

  • Manage our annual external financial audit and tax filings and ensure timely completion
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure expenses are properly tracked and categorized for budget purposes
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls
  • Identify and implement new systems and processes, to streamline and automate financial processes and reporting to support growth
