Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree / Master’s Degree from an accredited university in finance or accounting
  • Extensive knowledge in Operational Finance, FP&A, long-term forecasting and financial modeling
  • Advance financial and accounting skills, ability to triangulate financial statements, financial modelling skills
  • Good understanding of financial flows and accounting models for services and equipment projects
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to synthesize and prioritize
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and setting cross-functional strategy and rigor
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Established project management skills
  • Previous managerial experience and experience in leading through change
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the global structural costs FP&A process (~$300M net cost) across Fixed Production Costs, SG&A, and R&D, ensuring alignment with the Income Statement Leader and Global GAS FP&A team.
  • Drive operational cost discipline by conducting monthly structural cost reviews across Steam Power Services P&L’s.
  • Lead critical quarterly close activities, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and adherence to key timelines.
  • Analyse budget, forecast, and actuals to identify cost trends and root causes of variances vs. prior periods and scenarios.
  • Partner with senior leaders to identify cost-out opportunities, providing insights into key spend categories (e.g., Compensation & Benefits, Purchased Services, GEV Assessments).
  • Align with Steam Power Services P&L’s to assess labour inefficiencies by site, risks/opportunities, and corrective actions.
  • Support monthly operating rhythms (MORs) and other reporting requirements, ensuring leadership has the insights needed for informed strategic decision-making.
  • Driven Lean initiatives across the cost profile to identify waste and improve cost visibility
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on Steam Power Services structural cost guidelines and reporting standards, ensuring consistency with GAS reporting.
  • Provide financial insights and cost analysis to support the Income Statement Leader and Senior Leadership on ad-hoc projects.
  • Develop and drive cost optimization initiatives, improving cost visibility and transparency across the organization.
