Requirements:
  • 5+ years in life science software product management, ideally with a vendor producing LIMS, ELN, or SDMS products
  • Proven track record of successfully championing trajectory-changing shifts in the biopharma industry which have resulted in revenue and customer growth
  • Deep knowledge of data management, data visualization techniques and tools, as well as experience managing data based products that deal with complex data, processing and analysis
  • Proven track record of developing and launching successful products, from ideation through implementation
  • Experience of building and leading highly technical product management teams
  • Ability to travel regularly to customer locations and whiteboard the product strategy with them
  • Experience of working within a biopharma company in an IT related function is a big plus
Responsibilities:
  • Set the vision and lead the product strategy for our next-gen scientific data management and lab automation solutions and articulate this vision in every customer interaction
  • Evangelize and ratify your roadmap every day, every week
  • Build deep relationships with our customers' IT teams; deeply understand their processes and objectives
  • Conduct thorough market research and user feedback sessions to understand the needs and challenges faced by scientific and operational IT translating these insights into high value product features
  • Lead and develop a team of product managers who will specialize in different areas of the products surface area (for example data management, data integration, data accessibility)
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure the product interface is user-friendly, facilitating seamless data access, reuse and analysis.
  • Make appropriate tradeoffs to optimize time-to-market
  • Build and maintain annual release plan, manage feature delivery from discovery to validation in production
  • Be conversant with architects and engineers in order to prioritize, develop, and launch product features that align with our customers needs.
  • Research competition and market trends and propose roadmap trade-offs between parity and innovation
  • Decompose complex use cases and technical requirements into smaller manageable stories by creating and prioritizing a backlog with your engineering team.
  • Bring creative ideas and proposals to development teams and executives supported by qualitative justification and quantitative analysis
  • Develop and validate new concept prototypes
