Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an Engineering or Science discipline (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Proficient years of experience working in an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS), Industrial Hygiene and/or Safety role in a private, public, government, or military environment
  • Five (5) or more years of experience working in an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS), Industrial Hygiene and/or Safety role in a private, public, government, or military environment
  • Experience in the design and implementation of comprehensive risk assessment strategies, tools, and systems
  • Strong project management skills and ability to set objectives and deliver results
  • Strong computer and database skills
  • Experience with a wide range of exposure risk assessment sampling methods and relevant analytical methods, including real time instrumentation
  • Engineering control design and implementation experience
  • Strong communication skills (oral, written and presentation)
Responsibilities:
  • Developing, managing, and training on the global Industrial Hygiene Standards, metrics, databases, and programs to drive continuous improvement and global optimization and standardization
  • Leading the application of key program and appropriate tools by effectively providing tactical, technical support of comprehensive exposure assessment and implementation at 3M sites globally
  • Supporting product exposure assessments for businesses and industrial hygiene elements of life cycle management and sustainability programs
  • Influencing or leading systems and processes to proactively address human exposure issues, drive compliance achievement, and reduce overall Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) footprint through engineering design and control projects
  • Developing the professional competency of the global industrial hygiene network through communication and training, sharing of knowledge and best practices, and coordinating improvement efforts
  • Leading and participating on internal EHS audits
