Requirements:
  • Matric or equivalent
  • Proven experience in claims support with a strong understanding of claims management, ideally in both Personal and Commercial Lines.
  • Based in Cape Town or Johannesburg, South Africa with occasional in-person connections.
Responsibilities:
  • Minimize claims and associated expenses.
  • Deliver precise, timely, and professional communication with all stakeholders.
  • Uphold company quality standards and comply with regulatory frameworks across all claims processes.
  • Oversee claims administration, from receiving claims notifications to ensuring adherence to procedures and timely resolution.
  • Assess claims validity, estimate values, and manage within mandate limits.
  • Forward claims exceeding mandate to insurers and obtain quotes for required services.
  • Ensure timely approval and payment of claims costs in line with coverage.
  • Serve as the intermediary between insurers and clients, ensuring clear communication and timely updates.
  • Manage recovery processes and follow up on claims progress.
  • Adhere to company mandates and participate in special projects.
  • Contribute to continuous performance improvements and share insights with the team.
  • Maintain accurate records of all activities and report any suspected fraud or misrepresentation.
