Requirements:
- Matric or equivalent
- Proven experience in claims support with a strong understanding of claims management, ideally in both Personal and Commercial Lines.
- Based in Cape Town or Johannesburg, South Africa with occasional in-person connections.
Responsibilities:
- Minimize claims and associated expenses.
- Deliver precise, timely, and professional communication with all stakeholders.
- Uphold company quality standards and comply with regulatory frameworks across all claims processes.
- Oversee claims administration, from receiving claims notifications to ensuring adherence to procedures and timely resolution.
- Assess claims validity, estimate values, and manage within mandate limits.
- Forward claims exceeding mandate to insurers and obtain quotes for required services.
- Ensure timely approval and payment of claims costs in line with coverage.
- Serve as the intermediary between insurers and clients, ensuring clear communication and timely updates.
- Manage recovery processes and follow up on claims progress.
- Adhere to company mandates and participate in special projects.
- Contribute to continuous performance improvements and share insights with the team.
- Maintain accurate records of all activities and report any suspected fraud or misrepresentation.
