Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-5 years in construction estimating, with a focus on framing and drywall.
• Strong understanding of wood and metal framing, drywall installation, finishing techniques, and acoustical ceiling systems.
• Ability to read architectural and structural blueprints and perform precise material calculations.
• Experience with estimating software such as ProEst, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or On-Screen Takeoff.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with vendors, project managers, and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed cost estimates for framing and drywall systems in commercial and residential projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for materials such as wood and metal framing, drywall, insulation, and ceiling systems.
• Analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure cost efficiency and project feasibility.
• Prepare and submit competitive bid proposals based on project scope and specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to refine budgets and scope.
• Utilize estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, ProEst) for accurate calculations.
• Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize costs while maintaining quality standards.
• Monitor material pricing, labor rates, and market trends to maintain competitive pricing strategies.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, fire ratings, and acoustical requirements for drywall and framing.
