Requirements:
  • Advanced degree from a top-tier university in (applied) Computer Science/AI
  • Strong software engineering background with proven track record
  • Experience building and shipping production AI systems
  • Demonstrated ability to balance innovation with practical solutions
  • Leadership abilities and team mentoring experience, with great communication skills - you will be the advocate of AI excellence at saas.group
  • Passion for staying current with AI developments and sharing knowledge
  • Strong Python development skills - Python is what you feel most comfortable with
  • Strong foundation in software architecture and system design - solution design is part of what you enjoy doing
  • Production experience with AI/ML stack (at least some): LangChain/Haystack, the OpenAI/Anthropic/Azure OpenAI Service/AWS BedRock API, autogen, PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, or other relevant libraries and frameworks;
  • Experience with observability tools and leading cloud platforms
  • You enjoy using Poetry, Conda, or UV for dependency management
  • Database expertise (traditional and vector storage): PostgreSQL, pgvector, Chroma, Pinecone, Mongo (Atlas Vector Search), SQLAlchemy, Alembic
  • Experience with AI dev tools such as: Cursor, Bolt, Copilot, or others you find improve your dev experience
Responsibilities:
  • Actively develop and architect AI solutions for our brand portfolio - come up with creative solutions that can be leveraged on one or multiple of our companies.
  • Write, review, and ship production-ready code - ensure that the Central AI team delivers on its promise to provide robust solutions
  • Lead and mentor a team of talented AI-engineers
  • Champion AI adoption in engineering and other areas. Educate teams on cutting-edge tools - you are willing to leverage and share your knowledge at an organization level
  • Build and maintain our AI infrastructure and platforms with the help of our Central Cloud Operations team
  • Drive technical decision-making and set engineering standards

  • Scale AI infrastructure, working closely with DupliCloud (DevOps/SecOps CI/CD) and cloud partners.
  • Experiment with and fine-tune LLMs (Together.ai, OpenAI fine-tuning, LLaMA).
  • Ensure AI and ML scalability, addressing our current platform bottlenecks.
  • Hire and mentor AI engineers as we scale.
  • Work closely with leadership to align AI capabilities with business strategy and revenue growth.
