Requirements:

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Minimum of three years of experience in healthcare insurance and/or authorizations.
• Certification for CRCR required within one year of hire.
• Must be detail-oriented and able to maintain high productivity with minimal errors.
• Advanced abilities in common office software, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Excellent organizational, human relations, and communication skills required.

Responsibilities:

• Use department procedures to accurately complete authorization requests with payers for services.
• Verify existing authorizations requested by providers and complete authorization initiation.
• Provide necessary information regarding authorization numbers and maintain records.
• Respond to provider orders, verifying patient information and obtaining needed authorizations.
• Work independently from a remote location and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
• Follow escalation protocols for accounts not meeting authorization standards.
