Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably with 2+ years in-house at a technology or SaaS company.
  • Extensive experience drafting, negotiating, and managing contracts related to B2B SaaS products.
  • Proven track record of supporting legal transactions and contract negotiations in the public sector.
  • Expertise in setting up contractual relationships with channel partners.
  • Ability to identify and address legal risks while providing creative, business-minded solutions.
  • Strong communication skills to convey complex legal concepts clearly.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) in good standing and licensed to practice law in at least one state.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage negotiations, drafting, and reviewing of a wide variety of commercial contracts, primarily SaaS agreements with government customers.
  • Provide day-to-day legal support and guidance on commercial transactions, advising internal stakeholders on legal risks, opportunities, and strategies.
  • Work with teams across Mark43 to ensure compliance with existing agreements and laws applicable to the public safety and government technology sectors.
  • Partner with sales, product, finance, and operations teams to advise on legal implications of business strategies.
  • Educate internal stakeholders on contracts, data privacy, intellectual property, and risk management strategies.
  • Contribute to long-term strategic planning, helping identify and mitigate legal risks while supporting business growth.
