Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university focusing on Accounting or Financial Accounting.
• Minimum of one year of practical general ledger accounting experience, preferably in public or corporate accounting.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
• Knowledge of U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (U.S. GAAP).
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, with intermediate knowledge of Excel required.
• Functional knowledge of general and corporate accounting processes and internal controls.
• Strong communication skills for explaining accounting issues.
• Attention to detail, strong planning and organization skills, and the ability to multi-task.
• Experience in process improvement activities.
• Ability to work extra hours as needed for financial close.
• Proficiency with Oracle Fusion preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Develops understanding of assigned areas, stakeholders, systems, accounting processes, and controls.
• Ensures proper flow of capital assets from inventory to capitalization of assets.
• Compiles and reviews journal entries in compliance with GAAP.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and resolves variances.
• Conducts period-end analysis and close activities for timely financial information.
• Fosters teamwork and communication across organizational boundaries.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects as requested by leadership.
