Requirements:

• 2-5+ years of relevant work or graduate school experience.
• Possess or are pursuing a BS, MS or PhD in Statistics or related fields or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with scripting languages like Python and statistical software such as R, S-Plus, SAS, or similar.
• Experience designing and leading technical research projects for non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to teach others and learn new techniques.
• Ability to work as part of a team on complex projects.
• Proven leadership and self-direction.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct and oversee statistical forecasting projects in multiple baseball subjects.
• Collaborate with baseball subject matter experts in various fields to integrate expertise into player evaluation models.
• Maximize organizational impact by advocating for model-driven decision-making.
• Ensure projects adhere to best practices for predictive model implementation and maintenance.
• Mentor other QA team members by providing guidance on projects.
• Continually enhance knowledge of baseball and data science through various means.
