Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in meteorology.
  • Maintain American Meteorological Society Certified Consulting Meteorologist (CCM) or PhD in meteorology or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience providing expert testimony and presentations related to forensic investigations.
  • At least 3 years in conducting investigations related to severe thunderstorms and tornadoes.
  • Preferred experience in wildfire investigations using satellite detection.
  • At least 3 years analyzing Doppler Radar data.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in forensic or operational meteorology.
  • Strong organizational skills and supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency with NOAA Weather and Climate Toolkit, Gibson Ridge Radar Software, GIS Software like QGIS, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop strategic vision for the Forensics team and implement ideas for revenue growth.
  • Monitor and improve department operations and delegate tasks.
  • Forecast and monitor sales and optimize client project pricing.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and generate repeat business.
  • Coordinate with Marketing and PR to increase awareness of Forensic services.
  • Manage CRM data on customers and sales.
  • Work with contracts team for efficient negotiations.
  • Incorporate new technology into forensic analysis.
  • Prepare individual project reports and provide expert testimony.
  • Assign projects to team members and oversee progress.
  • Manage and mentor department personnel including evaluations and goal setting.
