- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
- 10+ years industry experience in selling into higher education, education technology or research marketplace.
- 5+ years industry experience as a sales leader.
- Master’s degree in business administration or other relevant advanced degrees (preferred).
- Experience running a $75 million territory with numerous academic/research accounts.
- History of driving revenue growth and effective team performance management.
- Knowledge of forecasting, deal cadence, and management principles.
- Advanced negotiations skills and strategic relationship development skills.
- Fluency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, PowerBI) and CRM systems like Salesforce.
- Directly manage a team of about 5 individual contributor direct reports.
- Coordinate all sales activities with specialist, renewal, and customer success teams.
- Lead, direct, and review the work of the teams to achieve targets.
- Influence diverse stakeholder groups to ensure acceptance of policies.
- Shape strategic initiatives for the department and organization.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and feedback for team success.
- Make staffing decisions for the teams.
